Austin has a growing obsession with trains. Thomas in particular. So when I found out that Mt. Hood Railway had this event booked for a couple of weekends I just knew Austin would have a blast. Sunday morning Tyler and I, along with my parents, headed up to Hood River for the adventure. As sleep deprived as my little man was he still had fun and was on his best behavior.
He started out with getting a Thomas tattoo on his arm ( that he has been proudly showing off to all his friends at day care ), to the hay maze, the bounce house, petting zoo, and a whole big covered tent with nothing but trains and train tracks. I think that alone could have kept him occupied for at least an hour ( and there isn't many things that can hold his attention for that long....let alone 5 minutes). The actual train ride was ok. But personally didn't think it was worth the money. Austin didn't mind it, but I think he would have much rather kept on with all the other activites.
All in all it was a fun day out with the family doing something a little different.
